    Announcing the 2018 Wheeling Area Genealogical Society's monthly lecture series, Silent Cities of the Dead. Lectures will be presented at 1:00 p.m. at Ohio County Public Library on the second Saturday of each month February through October. Upcoming presentations by various speakers will include the following cemeteries: Greenwood, West Liberty, Mount Wood, Peninsula, Red Men, Mount Calvary, Stone Church, Mount Zion, and Notable German and Jewish Burials. Save the dates for this informative series about history, symbolism, traditions, haunting tales, and much more. All programs are free and open to the public.

Feb 10 @ 1:00 - The kickoff program will be a presentation by Douglas Breiding. His topic will be 'Types and General Overview of Cemeteries.' Deacon Breiding is the Director of Catholic Cemeteries for the Diocese of Wheeling-Charleston.
